Strategic Notes from FEE—A Message from the Executive Director

March 2014

Dear Friend of FEE,

FEE is pleased to inaugurate a new monthly update series called “Strategic Notes from FEE,” coming out on or about the 1st of the month.

Each update will put the spotlight on one of our programs in particular, discussing its role in FEE’s overall strategic vision and how this affects the way that program works. Through concrete examples, we will show you how we propose to accomplish our mission, which is to inspire, educate, and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society.

We are focused on being a gateway for young people to get to know the freedom philosophy, at a time of life when philosophical “searching” is intense.  We then connect them with others who share their passion, making FEE a key source of new leaders to advance the cause of liberty.

To make this happen, all of our programs need to work together to turn FEE into the definitive community (both online and in-real-life) for young people to explore ideas on liberty.

This is easier said than done, requiring imagination, teamwork and execution across the whole array of our programs.  I’m thrilled with the way the talented professionals on the FEE staff are rising to this challenge.  I’m hoping to share some of this excitement with you in this new series of updates. Look for the first installment on April 1st (no fooling!).  Please don’t hesitate to write me at [email protected] with any questions.
