Great News!

I have great news for anyone concerned with the advancement of a free society.

I’ve just returned from FEE’s Annual Retreat over the weekend, entitled “Investing in Freedom’s Next Generation,” where we heard one success story after another.

The event was co-sponsored by 21 partner organizations who share our focus on the “long game” of educational outreach to the next generation. Working with these partners and numerous others, we are making huge progress at reaching younger audiences with freedom’s message.

Our partners share FEE’s vision that we can make the principles of liberty both familiar and credible to the next generation. In other words, that we can utterly transform the cultural and intellectual climate on campus, which will ultimately revolutionize the broader landscape of mainstream opinion.

We believe it’s within our power to do this, because so many of us are working in concert toward this common purpose, each contributing unique talents to the larger outcome.

Over 150 lovers of liberty gathered in Southwest Florida to hear about many recent victories and planned campaigns.

We heard from pro-liberty campus organizers, think tanks, journalists, bloggers, video producers, online learning producers, religious organizers, academic faculty, talent developers, digital marketers and builders of social networks (the old-fashioned kind).

We heard about creative ways that FEE and others are bringing ideas to new audiences: shared content, repackaged content, shared distribution, co-branded events, joint ventures, shared services, franchising-type distribution arrangements, and more.

Not only do shared content and distribution achieve vastly greater scale in reaching new audiences, they create greater impact for freedom’s message. Why? When our ideas are presented to students by someone they know, they’re taken far more seriously than if they come from a distant source.

Every lover of liberty can be part of this cooperative effort to spread the word.

You can have a significant impact on young people in your own circles by handing them a piece of FEE literature, available at surprisingly low cost, sharing FEE’s online content on social media, and encouraging young people to visit and apply for a seminar.

Thank you for all you do to spread the great news about freedom.
