Michael Munger

Munger's main research interests are the problem of "voluntary" exchange, and the effects of competition on the effectiveness of organizations. He has worked as a staff economist at the Federal Trade Commission, and taught at Dartmouth, the University of Texas, and the University of North Carolina before moving to Duke nearly 30 years ago. Munger is a past President of the Public Choice Society, and a past editor of the journal Public Choice. He is the author or coauthor of 8 books, and hundreds of articles in various professional outlets. His current work is on antitrust and competition policy.
