60 Minutes to Profile a Friend of FEE and a Humanitarian Hero

Nicholas Winton is both a personal friend and one of the greatest heroes I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. In just two weeks, I’m taking him to lunch again near London to wish him a happy 105th birthday.

Several years ago, I coauthored this story about him and his valiant effort that saved nearly 700 Jewish children from the Nazis in 1938–39.

This Sunday (April 27), CBS’s “60 Minutes” will profile Sir Nicholas. It promises to be one of the more memorable moments in the program’s history. Don’t miss it! Details here.

UPDATE: The 60 Minutes piece is now available
