Javier Fernández-Lasquetty is Vice President of the Fundación Internacional para la Libertad (FIL). He is also head of Ongoing Learning at Universidad de Las Hesperides and a board member of the Mont Pelerin Society.

Previously, he was the Regional Minister of Economy and Finance of the Madrid Regional Government (2019 – 2023). He was Vice President of the Francisco Marroquin University, Guatemala, Secretary General of the FAES Foundation, and Member of Parliament. He was Deputy Director of Cabinet of Mr. José María Aznar when he was President of the Spanish Government. He holds a degree in Law and a degree in Political Science and Sociology, both from the Complutense University of Madrid.
