Free Economy Institute, Tokyo

The Free Economy Institute in Tokyo, Japan, is up and running. FEI is a welcome addition to the international community of classical-liberal organizations, and FEE is proud to be a partner.

FEI activities are grounded in the principles of the free market, limited government, and traditional Japanese values.

Its activities will aim to:

  1. educate the public about the importance and necessity of liberty
  2. perform research on the causes that hinder freemarket development
  3. contribute innovative solutions which enhance economic freedom
  4. educate and train libertarian thinkers and researchers in free-market thinking and libertarian ideas, and
  5. establish international cooperation with other libertarian think tanks.

Among other activities, FEI will publish a biannual journal, Libertas. FEI’s president is Prof. Hiroshi Yoshida.
