The Free Economy Institute in Tokyo, Japan, is up and running. FEI is a welcome addition to the international community of classical-liberal organizations, and FEE is proud to be a partner.
FEI activities are grounded in the principles of the free market, limited government, and traditional Japanese values.
Its activities will aim to:
- educate the public about the importance and necessity of liberty
- perform research on the causes that hinder free–market development
- contribute innovative solutions which enhance economic freedom
- educate and train libertarian thinkers and researchers in free-market thinking and libertarian ideas, and
- establish international cooperation with other libertarian think tanks.
Among other activities, FEI will publish a biannual journal, Libertas. FEI’s president is Prof. Hiroshi Yoshida.
