New Citywide System of Surveillance


[New York] Police Commissioner Ray Kelly yesterday unveiled an expanded, $9 million-plus plan to focus 505 state-of-the-art video cameras on 253 crime and tourist hot spots in a bid to catch crooks in the act….

'The system is fully funded and will utilize $9.1 million in Homeland Security grants,' Kelly, said (New York Post, Wednesday)
