Dr. Mario Rizzo specializes in law-and-economics, ethics-and-economics, and Austrian economics. For nearly fifteen years he has taught a seminar on classical liberalism for first-semester freshmen at New York University.
Dr. Rizzo is the author of numerous articles and the co-author (with Gerald P. O’Driscoll) of The Economics of Time and Ignorance(1985), republished in 1996 with a new introductory essay on the more recent development of Austrian economics. He also co-edited Profits and Morality, a collection of articles, which provides innovative defenses of the morality of profit-making.
Dr. Mario Rizzo is Associate Professor of Economics and Director of the Program on the Foundations of the Market Economy at New York University. He received his B.A. from Fordham University, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
