Dr. Bruce Caldwell is a leading international authority in the history of economic thought, and an outstanding scholar on the life and works of Friedrich von Hayek. Dr. Caldwell has published books, numerous articles, and book reviews. He is past president of the History of Economics Society and general editor of The Collected Works of F.A. Hayek. Dr. Caldwell also currently serves on Boards of Editors of various economic journals. His recent book Hayek’s Challenge has been widely acclaimed for its scholarship and insight.
Dr. Bruce Caldwell has a B.A. degree in economics from College of William and Mary, and a Ph.D. in economics from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is the Joe Rosenthal Excellence Professor of Economics at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
