About the Author
Jeffrey Dean Lindsay is a US patent agent, technology scout, and intellectual property (IP) strategist using IP to help client cope with the challenges of disruptive innovation. He has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University and is a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Prior roles include Senior Research Fellow and Corporate Patent Strategist at Kimberly-Clark Corp., Head of IP at Asia Pulp and Paper (China), Head of R&D and IP at Lume Deodorant, Director at Innovationedge, and associate professor at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology (now RBI at Georgia Tech). He is the lead author of Conquering Innovation Fatigue (John Wiley & Sons, 2009). Every year since 2015, Jeff has been named one fo the world’s top IP strategists by IAM Media in the IAM 300 Strategy listing. He is President of Planet Lindsay, LLC and a Senior Advisor for ipCapital Group. He also serves as Vice President for the non-profit Interpreter Foundation (Orem, Utah) and as co-editor of their journal, Interpreter: A Journal of Latter-day Saint Faith and Scholarship. Jeff and his wife Kendra both speak and write Mandarin, are studying Swahili, live in Appleton, Wisconsin, and have fourteen grandchildren.
