Michigan Colleges Ask Delay in Affirmative-Action Ban


Leaders at the University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Wayne State University want to move the effective date of Proposal 2 from Dec. 23 to when fall 2007 admissions at the universities have been completed — typically in the spring or early summer. The proposal banned race and gender preferences in public college admissions. (Detroit News, Tuesday)

Let us use race as an admission criterion one more time.
