Some Irish Lament New Character of St. Patrick's Day


Critics fear that St. Patrick’s Day has succumbed to the allure of Ireland’s affluence, and that the festivities are defined by efforts to market Ireland as a product, or as a destination for tourists and investors, rather than by the celebration of a nation and a culture. But Ireland’s economic progress in the past decade is truly cause for celebration.
