Adam Peshek

Adam Peshek is Senior Director at Stand Together, a philanthropic and advocacy organization founded by Charles Koch that focuses on fostering bottom-up solutions to societal challenges. In this role, Adam leads the organization’s portfolio of K-12 education activities, including grantmaking, policy, advocacy, research, and programs for students and educators. He has 16 years of experience in the education policy and advocacy world, primarily through advocating for education choice, funding reform, and other free market solutions to education, both at the state and federal level.

Adam’s “road to Damascus” towards classical liberalism came from an unexpected place. As a Bush conservative in high school, Adam first encountered classical liberalism through Laura Ingraham’s radio show, where she was castigating the Cato Institute for trying to undermine Bush’s war efforts in Iraq. Adam went to the Cato Institute website to learn more and discovered he had more in common with them than Republicans. From there, he went on to found the first student libertarian organization at Florida State University, interned at the Cato Institute, and embarked on a career in the liberty space. Which goes to show that all press is good press.
