Highlights from a whirlwind week.
New York – The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) recently made a strong impact at the Atlas Network Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner, the premier annual event for the global freedom movement. This two-day conference brought together hundreds of thought leaders, philanthropists, and advocates for liberty from around the world.
FEE’s new president, Diogo Costa, led FEE to the finals of the 2025 Smart Bets competition, where Atlas Network selects ten partner organizations that deliver exceptional returns on philanthropic investments. Diogo spoke about the importance of influencing young minds and shared how FEE played a pivotal role in his own journey toward understanding freedom. “At 21, attending a FEE seminar changed my perspective on freedom and fundamentally shaped my beliefs. That experience wasn’t just educational—it was transformative,” he said.

To ensure that FEE continues to shape future leaders, the organization is now revitalizing its Liberty Pipeline. In Diogo’s words:
Imagine the journey: a young person begins with a FEE video or article, then engages further—attending a seminar, participating in a workshop, or connecting through our newly updated Freeman platform. Ultimately, these young leaders emerge as articulate, passionate advocates for liberty, ready to shape the future.
With this compelling vision, FEE was recognized as one of the top three finalists, alongside Instituto Liberal de São Paulo (Brazil) and the Africa Centre for Entrepreneurship and Youth Empowerment (Ghana).

In another presentation, Diogo highlighted FEE’s growing influence in Latin America and among Spanish-speaking audiences, particularly through FEE en Español and FEEenlinea, which have already impacted over 100,000 students and gained more than 300,000 followers in just five years.
Meanwhile, FEE’s Hannah Bowser was a competitor in the John Blundell Elevator Pitch Competition. This contest is for graduates of the Atlas Network’s Leader Lab, for up-and-coming leaders. Each contestant had one minute to sell their mission. She spoke eloquently about how FEE’s work is reaching the younger generation.

FEE was also on the dais during the Women in Leadership session, where our COO Elisa Bishop was part of a roundtable of women at the top in the liberty space.
Meanwhile, Kerry McDonald (second from left), leader of FEE’s Education Entrepreneurship Lab, spoke on the development of microschools.

And in the exhibit hall, our external relations star team of Marianna Davidovich and Coleman Williamson were spreading the word of FEE’s activities.

FEE remains committed in its mission to inspire, educate, and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. As FEE continues to unlock more minds to the power of freedom, we are more dedicated than ever to foster the next generation of liberty advocates.
With your support, FEE will continue to teach Gen Z how individual liberty, free markets, and limited government are the keys to creating a more prosperous and free world. Support FEE’s mission today.
