For the students unsatisfied
with introductions
When your student finishes their worksheet in four minutes, asks granular questions about the history of the minimum wage, or argues with their classmates about rent control past the ringing bell — what do you do with them?
Bring them to
FEE’s Economics Club.
FEE is curating 14 Economics Club sessions for curious students to deepen their understanding of crucial economic questions, such as:
- Why are certain countries wealthy and others poor?
- Which policies actually help the poor?
Which ones don’t? - What motivates people to participate in an economy?
- How does a city of 8 million strangers cooperate without exhausting their resources?
Each session awakens students through community and critical thinking. They leave with a thorough understanding of the most essential economic ideas.
How it works
FEE creates the content, all you need to do is find the students and host the meetings.
Clubs run from September through April, occur every other week, and can be implemented in 60 minutes.
Each session guide will be provided to you one week in advance via email and through FEE’s online learning platform: Teachers.FEE.org. The full prep will only take you 20 minutes to read.
If competition excites your students, you may register for the Economics Olympiad school-round, and the prep is built into the sequence. Any club may choose to register or skip.
FEE will provide the curriculum, stipend processing, material support, and incentives to drive student participation.
Join the founding cohort
This is the first year of FEE’s Economics Club, and we’re assembling a small, passionate group of 15 teacher-advisors to pilot the program. As an advisor, you’ll give us direct feedback as the year unfolds — helping us shape the program and make sure it delivers real value to you and your students.
As an advisor, we offer you a $200 monthly stipend, plus a separate budget for club prizes and snacks to keep students engaged and coming back. Here’s what to expect:
- 14 meetings, September–April
- Meet on a schedule that works for you
- Develop student leaders with minimal prep
- Access to the Economics Olympiad, with monthly contests to motivate and reward student participation
The application takes about five minutes. Share your name, school, subject, and a sentence on the students you have in mind — and start building something your students will remember.
