The Hazlitt fellowship has been redesigned as a launch pad for recent graduates and grad students who want to jump-start their careers.
If you have already started finding your voice, whether through a student newspaper, a podcast, a Substack, campus commentary, or debate, or working for liberty goals, then the fellowship is for you. FEE can help you turn that momentum into a career.
Over eight weeks, you’ll work in a small cohort with mentorship from senior FEE staff matched to your interest area, build a portfolio and resume designed for professional submission, and finish with a summit in Washington, DC meeting the organizations looking to hire people like you.

You’ll Join
Henry Hazlitt, 1894–1993
The fellowship honors Henry Hazlitt, one of liberty’s greatest communicators. His Economics in One Lesson has sold over a million copies, and his ten million published words appeared everywhere from The New York Times to Newsweek.
Through this fellowship, FEE continues the mission set by its founder, Leonard E. Read: developing the “10,000 beacons” needed to illuminate the path to liberty. For 80 years, FEE has been the original free market education organization in the U.S., and the Hazlitt Fellowship is our premier investment in the next generation of professional voices.
