The Davidson Transit Organization (DTO), the nonprofit that manages the [Nashville] Metro Transit Authority (MTA), has filed a charge with the federal government’s National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) claiming the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1235 (ATU) has illegally strong-armed employees into refusing overtime.
“The ATU, meanwhile, has flatly denied anything of the sort and has sent a letter to union members emphasizing that the existing collective bargaining agreement, though expired, is still effective and that the union lsquo;does not condone threats, acts of violence, intimidation, nor bodily harm to anyone.'
