Senate to Debate Flag-Burning Amendment


For 17 years, Daniel S. Wheeler has worked to get Congress to pass an antiflag-burning amendment to the Constitution. Mr. Wheeler, president of the nonprofit organization Citizens Flag Alliance, says he has never seen a flag on fire but considers the measure crucial because it 'reflects the values of the American people.' This week, his quest returns to the spotlight, as the Senate begins debate today and plans to vote this week. (Wall Street Journal, free feature, Monday)
