Michael Thom

Assistant Professor in Public Policy and Administration

Michael Thom is an Assistant Professor in Public Policy and Administration at the University of Southern California Price School of Public Policy. He earned his PhD in political science from Michigan State University in 2012. His research interests include public finance, tax policy, pensions, and regulation. His work on public sector pensions has appeared in Public Administration Review, the American Review of Public Administration, and State and Local Government Review. He has also published research in the Review of Public Personnel Administration, Public Personnel Management, and Research & Politics. He is currently writing a book on tax policy and politics.
