Senate Stem-Cell Bill Brings Veto Threat


The U.S. Senate could set the stage this week for President Bush's first veto as it moves to expand federal funding of stem-cell research, a controversial practice that uses the genesis of human life to explore cures for a wide range of diseases. (Orlando Sentinel, Monday)

The choice is not between taxpayer financing and no research at all.
