Katherine Fossaceca is a senior Political Science and History major and Political Economy minor at Ashland University in Ashland, OH, where she is also an Ashbrook Scholar. She currently works for the Ashbrook Center as an intern, and for their Masters program as an Online Teaching Assistant, and as the Online Teaching Assistant Coordinator. Katie has also worked for three years at her local Buffalo Wild Wings where she is currently a server—she enjoys taking advantage of the secret menu with Salted Carmel BBQ sauce and she can tell you how you can still order the Southwest Chicken Queso Wrap.

On campus, Katie is a member of the Running Club, and the president of her university’s 1girl chapter. 1girl’s purpose is to teach leadership skills such as public speaking, creative thinking, and entrepreneurship to local middle school girls. When Katie is not in her classes or working, she runs her small Etsy shop out of her dorm room, where she sells wire jewelry. Her hobbies include crocheting and running, and she has completed eight half marathons.
