Alian Collazo

Deputy Director of Grassroots Operations

Alian Collazo is the Deputy Director of Grassroots Operations for the Libre Initiative Florida. Born in Cuba in 1995, Alian arrived with his mother in the United States at the age of eight after fleeing Cuba by boat in 2003. His family settled in the Hillsborough and Pinellas County area, where he spent the rest of his childhood. In 2013 he moved to Miami Florida to study International Relation with a focus on Middle Eastern and European Studies at Florida International University. He served on the Board of Trustees of Florida International University from 2016-2017; from where he graduated with his B.A in International Relations in 2017. His journey with the Libre Initiative started as a contractor in the Miami area while still a college student at FIU. Besides his work with Libre, Alian is the Executive Director of Cuban Freedom March and directs his family’s Assisted Living Facility and Adult Day Care business in Pinellas County.
