French, German Leaders to Work on Saving Euro

“German Chancellor Angela Merkel was on her way to Paris on Monday morning to plan a critical week for the future of the euro currency with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Over lunch, the two leaders are expected to hammer out the details of the treaty changes that will push European countries to run their economies more like Germany does. Merkel has hinted that such changes are Germany’s condition for any stepped-up effort to save the euro.” (Washington Post)
