Summer Outreach Intern

Location: Remote, part-time

Expected Start Date: May 2021

The Outreach Intern will cultivate relationships with partners that will become a pipeline for generating new FEE customers while strengthening their own relationship with FEE and FEE’s message. The Outreach Intern will find new opportunities and convert those opportunities into program leads. Additionally, the Outreach Intern will play a key role in managing FEE’s outreach efforts designed to bring new customers into the conversation.        

This role requires quick responsiveness, communications clarity, and a keen mind toward progressing FEE’s customers – including students, partners, investors, and others – into increasing engagement with FEE and with the ideas that serve as the foundation for economic and social progress. The position reports to Justin Davis, FEE’s Director of Programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with FEE's outreach efforts to develop new partnerships as well as collaborate with FEE's existing partners to develop a variety of programs, attend partner conferences, leverage FEE products, etc. to advance FEE's expanding reach, including
    • Working closely with the Senior Outreach Associate to identify new customers where FEE can effectively connect with our target audience
    • Helping maintain an active, year-round calendar and project plan for outreach programs
    • Representing FEE at new and existing events, including virtual conferences 
    • Conducting research to find new high school/college contacts
    • Coordinating with the Senior Outreach Associate and the Director of Programs to create a thorough outreach strategy and plan 
    • Helping originate and strengthen organizational partnerships outside of the liberty movement
    • Helping manage FEE partner organization information in Salesforce
  • Assisting with the execution of program logistics
    • Help with the creation and distribution of feedback forms
    • Organize and host zoom webinars for partners and students 
    • Assist in the promotion of FEE Programs, such as drafting new posts for the FEE in the Classroom Facebook Page 

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Related experience in relationship management and sales or education 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service skills, public speaking skills preferred  
  • Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, and customer relationship management (CRM) technology (strongly preferred, but not required)
  • Experience organizing and juggling multiple priorities while keeping everything on track and maintaining a careful attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial spirit
